Our Story
Empowering Healing at Perfectly Flawed Foundation
Rooted in Experience, Driven by Compassion
Established in 2017, Perfectly Flawed Foundation (PFF) emerged from our Executive Director, Luke Tomsha’s profoundly personal journey, which was marked by over 14 years of chaotic substance use. Led by individuals with lived experiences, our organization is committed to addressing the unmet needs of those navigating substance use disorders.
In a landscape marked by stigma and limited medical care, PFF stands as a beacon of hope, offering a safe, trusted, and non-judgmental culture of support for individuals using drugs or seeking recovery. Our mission is clear: to bridge gaps in care and provide a pathway to healing and recovery.
Championing Harm Reduction: Making a Difference
Harm reduction is at the forefront of our efforts, with PFF being a critical provider of naloxone, responsible for over 75% of Narcan distribution in our service area. Beyond naloxone provision, our commitment extends to community education, peer recovery support services, and advocacy.
Responding to Crisis: Mobilizing for Change
In 2020, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, PFF received funding to expand harm reduction services, leading to the launch of a mobile outreach program serving multiple rural counties. As community needs evolve, so does our organization, with a commitment to responsiveness and innovation.
Making an Impact: Stories of Success
In 2023, PFF's impact continued to grow, with over 300 individuals and families receiving assistance across multiple counties. Our dedication to harm reduction was exemplified by the distribution of 2,400 doses of naloxone, contributing to successful overdose reversals.
But our impact extends beyond statistics. Through support groups, recovery programs, and community engagement initiatives, PFF fosters a sense of belonging and empowerment among individuals in recovery. From SMART Recovery meetings to weekly cooking nights and holiday giving drives, we strive to create a supportive environment where individuals can thrive.
Looking Ahead: Empowering Change
As we look to the future, the Perfectly Flawed Foundation remains steadfast in its commitment to empowering healing and recovery, one life at a time. Join us in our mission to make a difference in the lives of individuals and families affected by substance use disorders. Together, we can build a healthier, more supportive community for all.
